What is a timesheets and why are clients required to sign them?

Timesheets are official documents where details such as the date and time of a support session are noted, these sessions could be for note-taking, study skills or assistive technology training. Clients sign timesheets at the end of each session in order to confirm their support has taken place. The timesheets are submitted to the Learning Support Centre and Jotters office once a month and are then used to create an invoice which is sent to the client’s funding body (this will usually be Student Finance England or the NHS Student Bursaries). Without a client’s signature on a timesheet we cannot invoice and our staff cannot be paid.  Clients are encouraged to contact a member of the Learning Support Centre or Jotters team if they ever have any queries about their timesheets.
