Our Level 2 Induction for Disability Support Practitioners is a one-day course offering delegates the opportunity to reflect on existing practice with peers.
Delegates will develop their understanding of the legislation and the importance of safeguarding and health and safety in their role as a Disability Support Practitioner.
In the disability awareness section of the course we discuss; the importance of reasonable adjustments and inclusivity; the power of language and the barriers many disabled students may face when they transition to Higher Education.
The course is comprised of three units:
- Unit 1 – Disability Awareness for your role, Professionalism for Disability Support Practitioners
- Unit 2 – The Importance of Health and Safety for Disability Support Practitioners
- Unit 3 – The Importance of Safeguarding for Disability Support Practitioners
We can deliver our course at your premises for a minimum of 10 delegates and maximum of 15 delegates.
These sessions will otherwise be delivered at our Leicester Training Centre, Phoenix Yard, 5 -9 Upper Brown Street, Leicester, LE1 5TE.

For group bookings there is an additional travel and accommodation charge for courses delivered outside of Leicester. We can provide training across the United Kingdom.
This course is recognised for the purposes of registering with the Disabled Students’ Allowances Quality Assurance Group (DSA-QAG).
