“THIS YEAR I WILL SNACK LESS…” “THIS YEAR I WILL JOIN A GYM, EXERCISE MORE…”

National Obesity Awareness Week 2017: 9th-15TH Januarydo something good for you

“THIS YEAR I WILL SNACK LESS…” “THIS YEAR I WILL JOIN A GYM, EXERCISE MORE…”

Every year people make resolutions, whether it’s cooking healthier food, avoiding snacks or doing more exercise. There will be a long list but whether you achieve it or not that is another question.

According to the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation, one in four British adults are obese. The UK has the highest level of obesity in Western Europe. Obesity levels in the UK have increased in the last 30 years and at this rate it is estimated that more than half of the population could be obese by 2050.

However, this year will be different. We make a difference: do something good for JanUary. You can have the opportunity to join in a national New Year’s resolution to help improve the nation’s health. Make small commitments to make changes for you and your family to become healthier. With everyone’s encouragement you can share and celebrate your success.
