What is a reasonable adjustment in the workplace? The Learning Support Centre are an innovative and growing company providing dyslexia, disability and mental health support, specialist training and advice. Managing Director Laura Cook, Leicestershire’s 2015 business women of the year will host and co present a workshop on understanding reasonable adjustments in the workplace and how to adapt processes to achieve an accessible culture.

The session will also include a look at reasonable adjustments from a legal perspective. We are pleased to announce that Carrie-Ann Randall from Lawson West will be taking this section. She has been with Lawson-West Solicitors since 2008 and has extensive experience acting for both employers and employees in matters such as ACAS Early Conciliation, unfair dismissal, harassment, constructive dismissal, victimisation, sex discrimination, bullying, race discrimination, disability discrimination, age discrimination, whistle blowing, flexible working, breaches of TUPE regulations, redundancy and preparation of contracts

As part of a complete session we will also be showcasing assistive software and technology as an introduction to what is available on the market and how it can benefit those members of staff with disclosed disability’s and also those who don’t disclose.

Our workshop will leave attendees with ideas and information to increase efficiency and independence of their workforce and the ability to achieve a higher score for social corporate responsibility for effectively supporting a diverse workforce.

The morning will end with a delicious networking lunch.
