What is AT?
Assistive technology (AT) is any technology or piece of equipment that is designed to improve or maintain the functional capabilities of individuals with disabilities/ specific learning difficulties. Assistive technology promotes greater independence, allowing people to perform tasks that they were formerly unable to do or struggled to accomplish. This is achieved by providing enhancements to, or changing methods of interacting with, the technology needed to accomplish such tasks.
ATEC showcases excellence in assistive technology that removes barriers to learning and work
ATEC is a series of national and regional events designed to support practitioners involved in service delivery, research or policy development in assistive technology. ATEC gives you to the opportunity to future gaze on how assistive technology solutions will transform the learning and work space environment. With a wide selection of exhibitors showcasing their latest products, as well as a series of seminars you can choose to attend, learn and examine what good practice looks like now and in the future
At ATEC, you could meet with many leading assistive technology suppliers under one roof and see their products in action. The seminars will provide more detailed training with an emphasis on CPD where you will receive a CPD certificate.
