Going back to university or college to enrich the way we learn to develop a new understanding or simply to learn a new skill, can be rewarding.

There is a drop in the number of people returning to academic studies to enhance their own ability and knowledge in this ever developing with the current market.

Studying a practical skill or basis of a new subject area at your local college or through the Open University building upon or gaining a degree can improve confidence and knowledge and is a great way to meet like minded people.

The Learning Support Centre promotes a return back to studies at all ages and stages and can provide support through one to one study skills and various other services to encourage and support through your studies.

The new VC at the Open University, Peter Horrocks, used his first speech to launch a campaign to raise the profile of the disastrous decline in part time student numbers and to call for action.
