MINDFUL EMPLOYER is …
Completely voluntary and is about supporting employers to support mental well being at work. It is a NHS initiative run by Workways, a service of Devon Partnership NHS Trust.
MINDFUL EMPLOYER was first launched in 2004, developed, led and supported by employers in Exeter. They provided businesses and organisations with easier access to information and support for staff who experience stress, anxiety, depression or other mental health conditions. It has now become a well-known initiative throughout the UK and even abroad.
MINDFUL EMPLOYER has been recommended as good practice by the UK government and other national organisations.

Raising Awareness: Films
Mindful employers have produced some films to help raise awareness to managers, business and organisations. The videos are an insight allowing companies to learn and offer support and training to colleagues. This will help and equip the organisation to put the right support in place.
Let’s talk : This video encourages employees to talk. It is good to talk rather than stay silent. Mindful employers can help find the right support. You don’t need to do everything all by yourself. Talking about a problem can help you find the right way forward.
Working with Anxiety: This video talks about Anxiety. The more employers understand the more they can support you. The film explores how anxiety affects the ability to work and carry out other day to day activities, and highlights key ways to aid recovery. Anxiety is often a response to a problem, you can’t change the problem but you can change your response to it. Anxiety can affect our health and day to day daily activities. Don’t let the mind control you, take control of your mind.
SO, let’s become a MINDFUL EMPLOYER.
The Learning Support Centre: Empowering you to fulfil your potential.
