The Learning Support Centre to exhibiting at LCIL Choice Unlimited 2016

The Leicester Centre for Integrated Living (LCIL), otherwise known as LCIL ( http://www.lcil.org.uk/) are a brilliant user led, non-profit organisation that works in innovative ways. It is based on the social model of disability to support disabled people at a LCIL are locally based in Leicester at the West End Community Centre located on Andrewes Street which is minutes away from the Leicester City Centre.

They have a range of professional disability services in Leicester and Leicestershire including Social events, Access Auditing, Brokerage and much more. Access Auditing is a service that tests how well a building can be accessed and its ease of use by all of its users. This includes people with mobility and sensory impairments. They have an extensive range of customers including the Blaby District Council Offices, the Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service and also, they have provided access audits to various venues for the Special Olympics.

The Learning Support Centre (http://learningsupportcentre.com/ ) will be exhibiting at this year’s LCIL Living will be hosting the Choice Unlimited Event (ttp://www.choiceunlimited.co.uk/) on Wednesday 20th April at the Leicester Tigers Stadium. 10-6pm

This is a UK wide Road show on independent living. It is the first of its kind nationally. This event is aimed at people with disabilities, older people and also carers. This event showcases the diversity of information, services, products, ideas and innovation which is going to be available to support all independent living under one roof. A host of people will be able to enjoy an exciting event and will have the opportunity to find out about the services that are available to them and support them with living independent lives.
